Just thinking today about how beautiful it is outdoors and how much I'd rather be out there than here in my office... so I thought I'd pause for a moment and just talk about some of the things that are important to me about Easter...
Easter is the Super Bowl of the Christian faith (I heard someone say that this morning... or something like that)... It is tremendous reason for celebration ... that is for sure... that we have a Savior who conquered everything we would ever fear and now reigns! Easter is always significant for me because it was just prior to Easter (and I'm reminded every year) in the year 1979 that I made a real decision to follow Christ with my life. Wow... that was 31 years ago... what a journey to where I am today... and I'm learning more everyday what it means to enjoy that journey!
Here's what is important to me... I'm so thankful that Jesus allows me to walk with Him everyday in a sometimes challenged pursuit... but nevertheless following Him - I'm so thankful that God has given me a wonderful wife and children to enjoy this journey with - I'm so thankful that I have family members that pray for me and love me along this journey - and I'm grateful for the friends that God is trusting me with that we might share our lives together as we follow Him...
This is all possible because He rose and defeated sin and death - I'm forever grateful(anyone remember that song?)
