Tonight was a great night down in Hilton Head. I'm here working a convention for my company and celebrating my 17th anniversary with my beautiful and wonderful wife Angela. After shutting down the table this afternoon Angela and I rode down to Hilton Head High School and played some tennis together... always lots of fun with her on the court! Then it began to rain! The cool rain felt so good that I had Angela drive back to our hotel (Main Street Inn - fabulous place!) and I walked back in the rain. It was about a 20 minute one mile walk and felt incredibly refreshing. I was soaking wet from head to toe but felt really clean and rejuvenated.
I'm having trouble sleeping tonight so I'm up reading a little and was reminded of a verse in Acts...
3:19 reads... "Repent therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord."
So tonight I'm just giving consideration to even the simple things that I may need to turn from so that I can feel the same type of refreshing emotionally and spiritually as I did earlier tonight physically. If you know what it feels like to be refreshed in the presence of the Lord then you know what I'm talking about and what I'm longing for.
My prayer tonight is that we might all feel that clean and rejuvenating sensation as we strive to follow Jesus!
